Pinnacle Studio - video editing App Reviews

Pinnacle Studio has been my go-to video editing app since it hit the App Store. Its the closest thing Ive found on iOS to desktop editing in Avid, Premiere Pro or FCPX. The developer has done a great job of getting a huge amount of functionality into a compact form (the iPhone/iPod Touch interface is a bit more cramped—as you would expect—than the iPad version, but its still very easy to find everything you need). The developer has clearly thought out the workflow, and its easy to make whatever you want here. Its not maddeningly template-driven with auto-magic assembly of your footage; its a solid, effective editor with a surprisingly robust titler and transition set. I am a media production professional, and I have actually used Pinnacle Studio for some quick, on-the-go projects that went straight to air. Its that good. There are always extra bells and whistles that could be jammed in, but if you want to cut together a video package with precision and creative flair, Pinnacle Studio has you covered.

I have thoroughly been enjoying the variety of quality and frame rate settings for this app. Along with overlaying 2 videos, and seamlessly be able to copy not only videos, but projects as well, into other apps, the 8.99 price tag is definitely worth it! If youre gonna spend more than 5 minutes editing something, then this is the app for you!

I was hoping for good transitions. And this all has the best! But what about ones from PC? Like zoom in or velocity or other things like that? Please add them!! Itd make my time using pinnacle so much better and i already give it a five star rating!

Can i please have my money back. Because this new update basically took everything away I could do with the app. I thought it was gonna be better, but no its not!

This app is amazing and i love it. But what I loved most about it was the 60fps. Without that this app will be harder to use. So please. PLEASE BRING BACK 60 FPS

Is this real? You have downgraded this app so I will buy your new offering, thats not happening! You need to fire the clown who came up with this plan.

Just realized the update of this version I paid for downgraded me to a lite version. Already paid $10 for this app. Then the update took everything away and they want me to pay another $15 to get everything back I already paid for. Im definitely contacting apple on this one.

Until this company offers a cut in price to upgrade for those of us who already paid $10 for their full iPhone version? Id take some time and read through some other "recent" reviews.

I lik that I can export to other apps and airdrop makes it easy to get it to my Mac! Unlike so many others, this is a real editor with a timeline that lets me cut my videos and photos to music, add sound effects, completely control the finished product. Its harder to use, but there are video tutorials that explain how to use it. I hope they add square output for Instagram though. Thanks for the bug fixes!

Great, we have 60 fps back, but what is the point of having it back when I cant even export to my photos without the option? Am I limited to only 30 fps because of what type of phone I have? Please fix this problem

Im unable to open this updated version. Im on a 128gb iPhone 6

Ive used this app for years and love it. But, still crashes when I open it.

As a filmmaker, Im surprised at what pinnacle was able to squeeze into the tiny screen of my iPhone. This is an ideal editor for putting together videos with much of the flexibility you would have in a desktop editor. Keep up the good work! Five stars.

Overall a great editing app but theres one really important feature that DOES NOT work.... the pan and zoom.

This app is so awesome it works really good and it was only two dollars very good app you could do a whole lot and keep making movies this app is just awesome I made the best decision buying this app

It crashes every time I try. Other than that its a good editor. Definitely my go-to.
